St Patty’s Day Ode to Green Super Cars

my-daily-drive-.com-sp0182

Top of the mornin to ya!

This St Patty’s Day got me thinking, What in the world am I going to talk about in reference to cars. I mean, last time I checked, Dublin didn’t have a new V12 5000 HP super car coming out, and green beer doesn’t necessarily go with cars. What I came up was this: My favorite green cars! Now, green cars may not be as good as green beer, but hey, its what I got. (btw when I say green I mean paint not low emissions)

First on the list of fave green cars is this Lamborghini Murciélago (pictured above) that I shot at the Palm Beach Super Car Experience, yum. The paint almost glows, showing the angular lines of the car in bright vivid color.

Second is this Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder (pictured below) I got a qick snap of at Lamborghini of Miami. Lambo does green very well, what is everyone else waiting for? Green is so hot right now. Even the breaks are green. Might the driver be a leprechaun?

Third and my favorite would have to be this green car that I’ve lusted after for a while now. No, it’s not new and I am aware that this car comes in other colors but this beast is mean and green!

I present to you the 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS! (RS for “Rocket Ship” ok, no, not really). This green Por-cha is a mini incredible hulk of sorts.  Look at all she can do!

The car has a rear mounted flat 6 putting out 415 HP and 300 LB of torque to stir your soul. This green goblin goes 0-60 in 4.0 Seconds with a top speed of 193 MPH with a curb weight of just a hair over 3000 lbs. Can we say all performance all the time? Yes we can.

The 911 GT3 RS has numerous styling tweaks to make it stand out from its 911 brethren, but its the rear center twin exhaust that I just love. The 2007 911 GT3 RS is wider at the rear than the normal GT3. Ok, go on and say it. She’s got that J-Lo booty. Do you feel better now? Its wider at the rear to support bigger rubber for more traction on the err, track. The green jelly bean uses lots of carbon fiber parts to replace the stock metal for weight savings all around. Less weight… more performance. But you don’t need me to tell you that! This lassie is fast- just look at her. Hello! Do you see the size of the wing on this beast?!

Now raise your green beer and have a swig for me as this green Porsche a rules the day. St Patricks Day!

Cheers!
