You have to love South Florida especially Fort Lauderdale. The huge mix of cultures styles and economies all in such a small area definitely leads to a rainbow of varity when it comes to automotive expression. Some of the cars are super luxury big and some are super economy small.
Take this photo for instance; it just made me laugh, smile and think. Check out the drastic difference between these two cars. Both have four wheels, a motor and a steering wheel but I think that’s all they have in common. The black car is a Bentley Continental Flying Spur. Which is a 552 HP $179,990.00 super sedan.
For all intents and purposes the Bentley is the definition of four-wheel luxury along with fellow luxury manufacturers Maybach and Rolls Royce. The car has style, speed, and power, a real boss’s car. It says, “Stand back! If you get to close to me you may dent or scratch something expensive.”
The Smart on the other hand, especially in day glow yellow says nothing but fun. It screams “Look at me! I’m so cute!” So tiny, so approachable, and dare I say… cuddle worthy? The car borders on thin line of car or cart. Is it even a real car or a golf cart with a roof? With a roof rack.
A while back I wrote a post about where I saw a Bentley and a Smart racing down I 95, two very quick blurs in the setting sun, it was hard to believe. But as these two sit side by side it’s even harder to believe.
Oh, and I know you were thinking where can you find the owner of a Bentley and the owner of a smart parked right next to each other?
The Target parking lot of course.
