As 2010 came to an end and we began to celebrate the spirit of Christmas it’s easy to forget about the thousands of underprivileged children in communities across the United States. These youngsters sometimes never get to open even one present on Christmas morning. They don’t have a tree to decorate or cookies and milk to put out for Santa. They wake up like it’s just a regular day. Many of us take what we have been given for granted and never think of the less fortunate, especially children. The United States Marine Corps has been the foundation of the Toys For Tots program since 1974, and every year they help supply toys for children all across America. A group of dedicated automotive enthusiasts in South Florida has been organizing the South Florida Exotic Car Toy Rally since 2005, which donates 100% of its proceeds to the Toys For Tots program, and this years’ rally was quite the event. We were asked to cover the event for ToyRally.com and we gladly accepted. We always love contributing to charity programs and events throughout Florida. The whole My Daily Drive crew was on hand as we witnessed over 160 exotic cars take to the streets in South Florida.

Holidays are the times of year when everyone comes together to enjoy good family, good faith, and good food. But what’s wrong with enjoying a good Ferrari? I don’t see anything wrong with spending some quality time with a topless redhead in my hometown of Sarasota, Florida. And that’s exactly what I did this Thanksgiving Day weekend. I met my new friend Jason through the Ferrari community’s Mecca of knowledge, FerrariChat.com. It’s the largest online Ferrari community in which both Jesse and I have met some amazing people and have had the opportunities to spend time with their amazing machines. So from our short online relationship, Jason and I chose a location to meet up, have some conversation, and get a few photos of his beautiful Ferrari 360 Spider.

After this month’s Cars & Coffee, hosted by our good friends at Ferrari-Maserati of Fort Lauderdale, we were all treated to a private viewing of Mr. Preston Henn’s amazing collection of rare automobiles at the Swap Shop. We enjoyed a fantastic spread and drinks at the dealership, chatted for a few hours with some great people, and then fired up the cars for our run down I-95. Our drive route was directed by our faithful leader Fred and his amazing Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale. You can hear him coming from a mile down the road.  A perfect lead car :-) I was lucky enough to catch a ride with my man Oscar in his red Acura NSX and we were working hard to catch up with the lead Ferraris. I-95 Southbound had quite a bit of traffic, but it didn’t stop us from opening up the cars a few times. Shhhhhh… don’t tell anyone. I’m usually the one picking my jaw up off the ground when I see exotic cars drive past, but this time I was the one watching everyone stare in amazement at the line of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Porsches.

Good morning! That’s what I was thinking when I got up yesterday. But then I tried to get out of bed and realized I had partied a little harder than expected the night before. But hey, a late night party can’t keep me from a morning filled with aluminum and carbon fiber. Yes, I was up bright and early to check out the new McLaren MP4-12C super car. I hopped in my car and headed to where the car was supposed to be.

Traffic!

Ugh!

So I took a short cut. (Passed two Nissan GT-Rs), arrived at the Collection, parked went in…
