Orlando Festivals of Speed Is Almost Here

In just over a month from now Orlando, Florida will turn into supercar Heaven. From October 8th through October 10th the Festivals of Speed will be hosting their exclusive weekend of fancy parties, hot cars, a golf tournament, and some unforgettable memories.  You may remember our coverage from St. Petersburg, Florida of the Friday Night Jet Port Reception party back in April. We had special VIP Media access to bring you highlights from that night, and we have the same media credentials in Orlando. That’s right, the My Daily Drive crew will be in beautiful Orlando from Friday afternoon all the way until Sunday evening. We’ve been receiving updates from the Festivals of Speeds’ media department so I thought I’d share some news with you.

Periodically they break news to us of a really rare car or hyperboat coming. This latest update announced that the local Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport “Sang Bleu” will be in attendance. Yes, that same “Sang Bleu” I saw on Saturday at the Orlando Cars & Café meet. In addition to the only Bugatti Veyron “Sang Bleu” in the world making an appearance I will finally get to see up close one of my favorite race cars of all time. The amazing Ferrari 599XX will be on display for everyone to see.

Another little surprise is the addition of the brand new Lexus LF-A supercar to the lineup. The LF-A is powered by a purpose-built 4.8 liter V10 which makes 552 horsepower and can rev all the way to the sky. 9,000 screaming revolutions per minute and an acoustically designed exhaust unit give the new Lexus supercar a true Formula-1 inspired sound. I can’t wait to see this one.

Between the Luxury Lifestyle Jet Port Reception party on Friday night, the Golf Classic at Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes golf tournament and Wine Connoisseurs Dinner on Saturday, and the Motorsports Collection and Luxury Lifestyle Display of Exotic Cars, Motorcycles, and Boats this is surely going to be one fantastic weekend. Check out the Festivals of Speed on the web for a complete itinerary and schedule of events, as well as their information on the upcoming Festivals of Speed Miami in November. And don’t forget to become a Facebook Fan for the Festivals of Speed.
