On my daily drive there is an exotic car dealership that always has quite the inventory. They do not have a lot of cars but the ones they do have are quite special. Some of which I have already documented on mydailydrive.com.
One of the cool things about this boutique dealership is they also have some cars that wouldn’t be considered “exotic,” but are none the less rare and awesome. I recently spied a 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 on their front line next to a brand new Chevy Camaro.
The car I saw there last night was what I consider exotic. As you know if you read this web site I have a thing for Nissans Godzilla car the infamous “Nissan GT-R.” Well, this dealership had a beautiful gun-metal grey one. I saw the car at night on my way home and was thinking my oh my I’ve gotta get up close and personal with that car. So the next day I went by the dealership to get some awesome shots of the car.
The car is just as cool up close as it is it is from far away. It’s nice to be able to get a shot of one while neither the car nor I is moving. Normally speeding down the road with my iPhone I’m trying to get a shot for you guys.
The car is fabulous and surprisingly larger than one would think, but still beautiful, and with the dark grey the car is even more sinister. As I was checking out my object of passionate desire I got the attention of one of the sales men at the shop. As he and I chatted he told me that the car was supposed to be on its way to Spain as they had purchased the car for a specific buyer. He said the deal was “kind of a mess.” He tells me “ The car is supposed to go to Spain, but if you want it you can have it.”
Oh, those magical words!!
It would be so cool if it were just that easy. I’d be like sure let me take it off your hands- unfortunately there has to be some kind of money in those hands. So, I can’t take the car right now but I sure would love to one day.
For now though, you and I have these pix. We can all dream till things change and when they do I’ll go in there and say, “Yes sir, I’ll take the grey Nissan GT-R. Thank you very much!”
