It’s another Ferrari Friday all up in this MyDailyDrive.com piece. Due to some annoying technical difficulties today’s post isn’t up as early as I’d like. But hey, better late than never, right? This Friday I want to tell ya’ll about a crazy day where I got to see one of the negatives of owning a Ferrari.
Down here in Miami we have some wild weather. At times its nice, then two minutes later the sky’s opened up and it’s a monsoon. Other days we have wind and gloomy clouds, you’d think it was a hurricane or maybe a tornado that came out of no where. Well, one of these days it was blowing super hard and spitting rain. The roads, I found out, were the victim.
Driving down US 1 there was a lot of traffic. I thought it was a car accident or a broken down ride ’cause that’s what it usually is. But, when I got closer I saw there were branches on the road. The wind had blown so hard that it knocked some good-sized lumber into our path. In front of me was a silver Ferrari F430 Spyder. We’d be going down the road and then see these branches, and he’d have to cautiously creep around them.
… and then there would be times when he couldn’t get around, so he gently hiked his ride up over the wood and leaves on the ground. Man, I’m glad that wasn’t my Ferrari. I don’t think four wheeling is one of the strong suits of a Ferrari. He made it though, as did I.
We got to a smoother less shrapnel filled part of the road and we were good to go.
So… note to self; Ferrari + fallen trees = bad!
