Well ladies and
gentlemen, it’s that time of year again! Where hundreds of stampeding prancing horses enter Palm Beach for the Cavallino Classic at The Breakers Hotel. The event starts with 3 private testing days at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) then, Friday is open to the public. This was my first time attending the track day after missing last years and I must say, it’s one hell of an event! During the track day, there were vintage racers including a 250LM, 275 GTB/C and others. As well as newer challenge cars; 355 Challenge cars, 430 Challenge cars, 360 Challenge cars, as well as Guy Cosmo’s team Patron F430 GT car. Also, among the rarer cars on the track, a 166mm, as well as Preston Henn’s legendary $wap $hop FXX. One of the biggest parts of the day, was Ferrari North America unveiling two brand new 458 Challenge cars for demonstrations and test drives for possible buyers.
Saturday started off with a great morning. Me and my parents headed out to breakfast, then drove into Palm Beach to go to the Concors event at the Breakers Hotel. As we pull in, it was all coming back to me. The sights, the sounds, the people that I experienced las
t year. As well as one of the best moments of my life, starting the legendary TAX DR Enzo.
First thing I did when we pulled up was go over to the Valet parking lot which is always a whole different show on its own.
As always, an amazing array of cars on the lawn. From new cars like 458 Italia’s, and a 599 GTO, to vintage cars and classics like 328’s, 275’s, and several very rare cars like a 250LM, and two of the three 575GTZ’s in the US. As well as the last ever US production Enzo
