After I got out of work today I had to stop by the post office to mail out some Easter goodies to my goddaughter in VA (I love you Lexi!!). Of course the line was long, the employees were slow, and I just wanted to be home after a hectic day at work. My number finally got called and I went up to mail out the package. Fairly boring story so far, right? Yeah, I thought so too, until I walked outside……. Sitting nicely in the first parking spot was this beautiful BMW E46 M3. I’m a real sucker for M3′s. They’re fast, luxurious, and stupidly pretty. When I worked at a [...]

With the Weather Channel promising a beautiful day, and my new Nikon D3000 desperately awaiting its maiden voyage, I thought it would be a perfect day to make the drive to Orlando and check out the 2010 Cars for the Cure charity exotic auto show. The show was located at the wonderful Colonial Town Park in Lake Mary, FL (just outside Orlando), with all proceeds benefiting the American Lung Association. I love auto shows and to me there’s nothing better than an exotic auto show. The icing on the cake was the charity part of it. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than checking out some rare, expensive, [...]

I’m slowly getting better and better at the art of photography and over the past the year I’ve had the privilege of attending some fantastic shows and dealerships. I’ve been to a few exotic car shows in South Florida and I’ve even stopped into Ferrari-Maserati-Lamborghini of Washington. Here’s my gift to you, some of my better photos that I’ve taken throughout 2009. They’re in chronological order from when they were taken starting with Palm Beach SuperCar Weekend in January 2009 and ending with my trip to Ferrari of Tampa Bay in December 2009. I’ve also got them available to save and use as your own desktop wallpapers- just click the links [...]

Quick rant! So the for all of time – or as long as I have been paying attention- there has been a tuner battle between the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution “Evo” and the Suburu Impreza WRX STI. Both are Japanese produced famly cars on steroids. Beefed up with big turbos, big red breaks, and big bad body styling that brings a smile to boys of all ages. The ultimate goal in this extra macho machinery is to create the ultimate vehicle for rally racing- something that Europeans do. More or less its diving like a bat outta hell as fast as you can on sometimes dirt, sometimes snow, sometimes public roads. [...]

I do not want to go into a big ol diatribe about how feminine I think the Lexus brand is but… well, this is my blog and it is. The Lexus IS 250 & 350 are mostly a pretty and expensive Toyota. They are the least expensive of the Lexus fleet. The best selling IS-250 has an anemic horsepower rating of just 204 HP. Although Lexus claims its IS cars compete with the BMWs 3 series it just doesn’t add up. Even the lowest level of the 3 series line has 230 HP. Doesn’t sound like a serious match up to me. It’s ok that Lexus has positioned themselves in [...]

Breaking news from Longview Texas. According to Edmunds Inside Line the tuning company East Texas Muscle Cars is planning to build a 2010 V6 Camaro (with turbo charging) that can go around the Nurburgring Nordschliefe faster then a Nissan GT-R. The fabled Nissan GT-R has set an an amazing time around the ring at 7:26:70. It was faster than any production car until the corvette ZR1 came in and topped it with a time of… More about the Corvette ZR1 at the ring right here. But, for a twin turbo v6, the Nissan’s time is fantastic. Now, for this tuned Camaro to take on the GT-R is quite the feat. [...]
