When Champion Motorsport, a well known aftermarket automotive parts and tuning company, announced on several online message boards that they will be hosting a free track session at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) in Jupiter, Florida, the reception was massive. This was Champion’s way of thanking all of their loyal customers and a way to give back to everyone who has supported them. It would also give enthusiasts who may not know what Champion Motosport is all about, the chance to really see what a great group of guys they are. With that announcement, on Saturday October 23 I hopped in my car and made the four hour trip to PBIR. I [...]

On Saturday October 2nd, 2010 I made the drive out to Sebring International Raceway to attend a trackday held by the National Auto Sport Association, or NASA for short. I’ve been to Sebring once before and I had a great time shooting, so when I found out about another trackday that fit into my schedule I couldn’t pass it up. Trackdays like these are typically free for spectators and you get full access to the pits, which can be pretty cool. I spent about 5 hours shooting, all by myself, and probably walked a few miles in and around the track under the beating sun and 90 degree Florida heat. [...]

Happy Monday everyone! Time to get back to work, and what do we do at work? Read about cars, think about cars, watch youtube movies about cars… I think you get the drift. Speaking about drifting, check out this youtube movie I saw last week, its really tripping me out.

We all know Tanner Foust is the man when it comes to drifting. His skills are amazing. He’s won the 2007 and 2008 Formula D championship and was a stunt driver in part of the greatest car movie franchise of all time The Fast and the Furious. The drifting in F&F Tokyo Drift, yeah, that was him. Now he’s made another movie [...]

For the past four years I’ve been attending the Sarasota Exotic Car Festival (formerly known as the Ferrari’s on St. Armand’s car show) held at the St. Armand’s Circle shopping center in Sarasota, Florida. This show marks the first event of the Ferrari Club of America (FCA) Florida Region’s calendar year. Every year since I’ve been attending it gets bigger and bigger. You can almost guarantee that there will be something pretty special on display at the show each and every year, like the very rare black Ferrari Enzo on display this year, which belongs to Sarasota’s own Steve White of SS Motorsports of Sarasota (http://www.carsbyss.com/).

In 2007, the two stars [...]

With half a cup of coffee down my brain is starting to get into gear. All the random ideas that were floating around in my head now have direction. You could say the pace car has pulled off and we are about to go back to green flag blogging.
What I’ve been thing about for the past 48 hours has been … you guessed it the Daytona 500. Or what some have been calling the Pothole 500 (#pothole500). What a race. It started with such promise. The crashes happened, the favorites led; everything was on track to be a good day of hard racing at the super speedway. But I, like [...]

After ooogling Alex Roy’s car, having quick flashes of his book, and imagining racing down a highway in the middle of the US in the middle of the night with no headlights on at 145 mph I snapped back to reality.
I realized that there were cars all around me going that fast. There were cars that are capable of going even faster just feet from me. Behind us as we were checking out the Polizei 144 M5 the Farnbacher Loles Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RSR that had been behind the wall getting worked on pulled out of its spot and motored down to the split behind the wall to get [...]

I was as getting off the highway and saw this very cool Acura. This is a 2007 Acura TL Type-S- Acura’s attempt at a sports sedan. It looks sporty – quad exhaust and fancy wheels. The car also comes with a 286 BHP motor and F1 style paddle shifters. Not a bad car at all, but the fact that its front wheel drive will always keep it from truly being a sports sedan in my book. Recently, Acura said they have no plans of introducing a rear wheel drive car to their line up. That’s too bad cause I think they will get lost in the sauce for their competitors [...]
