This past Saturday morning I made the 2 hour, slightly boring trip to Sanford, FL (basically outside Orlando) for the Orlando Automotive Club’s monthly Cars & Cafe meet at The Route 46 Entertainment District. This is the third C&C meet I’ve been to so far and they all have been great. It’s always nice to see some familiar faces and get the opportunity to meet some new ones. Our good friends at Cafe Motorsport were there as usual giving out some amazing samples of their newest flavors of coffee. Most of the cars that were there are regulars, but a few surprises always seem to pop up every so often. Most [...]

- The Event – The Super Car Experience Car Show. After the exhilarating ride up to West Palm Beach it was time for the show. We parked, walked up to the side entrance and got our media credentials. Meanwhile all of the cars that were on the drive up with us were actually in the car show, they were in a different area checking in. We didn’t know it at the time, but we had a rolling preview of what was to come. As for the show- it was very cool if not a bit overwhelming. A remarkable mix of cars, from super to exotic, ground touring cars and even [...]

I had a few days off work so I figured it would be nice to go home and spend some time with my parents over the weekend. Home, as you probably know by now, is in Sarasota, Florida. I love going home for a few days and just relaxing. I’ll usually take a drive or two down to the beach and cruise around by the water. The scenery is amazing, and the cars I usually spot are pretty amazing as well. Just like when I lived in Miami, I never know what I’ll see just driving down the road. This past weekend was no different. On Saturday my dad and [...]

Every year in car land there are things you can count on, for owners its oil changes, gallons (and gallons) of gas purchased then burned, and for most, car payments. For car makers there are other constants. Every year a new model has to come out. Be it an update of last years with a light freshen up and sometimes a brand spanking new model. For Porsche this year it is the latter, a brand spanking new car. One that has had the interweb all a twitter for years now. The famed and fabled Panamera. For some [Porsha hq in Germany] this is the evolution of Porsche, Power luxury even [...]

I haven’t gotten all the parameters yet about when the shopping can commence but I’ve already started. I’ve headed over to the trusty web site Autotrader.com. They make car shopping so simple. Type in what you want and blam lots of options pop up. You can also use the site to cross shop makes brands options, all the good stuff a car guy or girl wants to know. Now about my friend. He’s a single guy living the party [...]

Quick rant! So the for all of time – or as long as I have been paying attention- there has been a tuner battle between the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution “Evo” and the Suburu Impreza WRX STI. Both are Japanese produced famly cars on steroids. Beefed up with big turbos, big red breaks, and big bad body styling that brings a smile to boys of all ages. The ultimate goal in this extra macho machinery is to create the ultimate vehicle for rally racing- something that Europeans do. More or less its diving like a bat outta hell as fast as you can on sometimes dirt, sometimes snow, sometimes public roads. [...]

Some pix are easy to get. Other pix are hard. When I saw this Dodge Charger from afar I was thinking “Man that is wild”. I had to get my camera ready and then came some traffic. So he came past the intersection and then put the heat on… zooming down the street. The result is this shot. It gets the job done, right? This charger is “pimped out!” Big rims, I’m thinking 22′s. Aftermarket hood with SRT-8 style scoop. Aftermarket grill, tinted headlights, chrome side mirror covers. The paint job is wild too. I know the Dodge Charger; Dodge Magnum & Chrysler 300 are some of the most modified [...]

Way back in 2008 Ford introduced a version of their ever loved retro sexy Mustang. They produced a special version for those serious car movies bufs’. The Bullitt mustang! I caught these shots of one driving down to The Falls mall in Miami. Before the Fast and the Furious, before (insert other car movie here – but know that there is no better car movie(s) then the fast and furious series) there was Bullitt. Detective Frank Bullitt was played by a steely eyed Steve McQueen. His brooding character didn’t talk much, but his actions spoke volumes. Especially behind the wheel. His car, the “good guy / hero car” was a Dark [...]

After some emails and tweeting my new friend Simon he sent me these fresh off the press photos. The shots show off the new strut parts for the Dodge Challenger and the Chevy Camaro.
Apollo Sport breaks road car record with a 7m11.57s lap time around the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track. Porsche GT2? Get lost. Godzilla(Nissan GT-R)? Scram. Corvette ZR1? Take a hike. Dodge Viper ACR? Nothing but a big sissy. There’s a new sheriff in Nordschleifeland and its name is Apollo, Gumpert Apollo. Actually, the proper name is Gumpert Apollo Sport, and on August 13, one piloted by a 26-year-old named Florian Gruber ran around the Nurburgring in 7:11:57, shattering all the other production car “records” by eleven seconds or more. Dang, right? What makes the Apollo sport so fraggin’ fast you ask? How does a 700-hp, twin-turbo’d Audi 4.2-liter FSI V8 strike you? Makes [...]
