This past Saturday in South Florida was HOT! But hey, nothing like a fantastic event featuring amazing cars and cool people to make going out in the searing heat worth while. Bright and early Saturday morning was the monthly homage to all things car, Cars and Coffee  at Ferrari-Maserati of Fort Lauderdale. This gathering was unlike any other Cars and Coffee that I’ve been to.

This past Saturday morning I made the 2 hour, slightly boring trip to Sanford, FL (basically outside Orlando) for the Orlando Automotive Club’s monthly Cars & Cafe meet at The Route 46 Entertainment District. This is the third C&C meet I’ve been to so far and they all have been great. It’s always nice to see some familiar faces and get the opportunity to meet some new ones. After I got out of work today I had to stop by the post office to mail out some Easter goodies to my goddaughter in VA (I love you Lexi!!). Of course the line was long, the employees were slow, and I just wanted to be home after a hectic day at work. My number finally got called and I went up to mail out the package. Fairly boring story so far, right? Yeah, I thought so too, until I walked outside…….

- Part two: the drive – Now this was our first time to an event like this so I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. Was it going to be a parade of uber rare and racy exotics? Single file up the highway Rose Bowl parade style? Or, more of a free form sprinted drive of sorts? We were soon to find out. Our team leader had announced the time we were heading north. Shortly thereafter we had a sort of “drivers meeting”, no bump drafting was the word of the day
