On the drive to work back in June there was nothing to see, no good cars of note. I usually see something fresh to shoot.
No, this was not the usual South Florida style filled with exotics from Aston Martin to Zonda. So, on my commute home after quite the crazy day at work I was happy to see a nice dark blue Bentley Continental GT.
Not the most exotic car on the road but unique none the less. So I’m thinking that’s a cool $200k+ low production luxury car. Even as popular as they are the Bentley Continental still stands out in the crowd. The day is saved and Miami has kept its reputation as the super expensive car capitol of the South.
After driving a bit further I see another Bentley Continental GT same color pull up right next to to the first one ! I’m thinking boy if these guys thought they were being unique they were WRONG.
“Man I gotta get a shot of this for my MyDailyDrive.com fans!” So I floor it gently accelerate and pull up to the twin Bentleys for the shot. Mind you, we’re on a three lane section of US1 with busy traffic. I began positioning my automotive shooting platform car & iPhone to get a shot. One Bentley is in front of me on the left, the other is pulling away from me in the center lane. I check the rearview to make sure its safe for me to shoot this duo driving down the street…
And Zoom a green Aston Martin V8 Vantage comes blowing past me on the right ! I went from no cool cars to just another Bentley, to Bentley twins, to Bentley twins with a green Aston Martin! Wow! How am I going to get pictures of all this! I’m losing light, and losing road as I am going to have to get off US1 soon.
Ok, so I got one Bentley, and I got the Aston Martin. The driver was on the phone, windows down and smoking a cig, hmm, how was he holding the wheel?
