This past Saturday in South Florida was HOT! But hey, nothing like a fantastic event featuring amazing cars and cool people to make going out in the searing heat worth while.
Bright and early Saturday morning was the monthly homage to all things car, Cars and Coffee at Ferrari-Maserati of Fort Lauderdale. This gathering was unlike any other Cars and Coffee that I’ve been to.
The C&C events at FMFL have been dwindling in the number of cars for the past few months. This past Saturday’s event changed all of that. Thanks to MyDailyDrive.com writer and photographer Peter Tromboni and his social media savvyness. He initially was going to set up some car photo shoots in South Florida but then more and more guys wanted to get involved and have their cars photographed. What better place to get all these cars together than the FMFL’s monthly gathering of shiny paint and horsepower.
It went from just a few cars who wanted to take part to over 50 cars from all over Florida! So many makes that we don’t usually see at C&C, it was a real treat. A strong turn out of domestic and exotic cars were in attendance – Corvettes, Lamborghini’s, BMW’s, Audi’s, a threesome of Nissan GT-R’S and more. It’s good to see other makes come out. It was a blast for me, I love to take shots of all different kinds of cars!
Peter even set up a canned food drive that went great! Thanks to every one who brought goods for the less fortunate. Cooperative Feeding of Broward came by on Monday and picked up all the food, they were very appreciative.
So many drivers & owners who don’t usually get to take there beloved cars out, got to go for a fun drive and talk shop with fellow car nuts. It was also cool to put faces to names (and cars). All the friends from various forums and Facebook came out and we actually talked face to face. (It was a treat to meet you guys & girls in real life!)
After checking out all the cars and enjoying the good eats from the FMFL crew, we headed out for a drive. The run didn’t go as we all had planned due to the the amount of traffic at that time of day but it was still a blast, for us. Nothing like crusing down the highway with a few Corvettes, some Porches, a Ferrari F430, and a Lamborghini Gallardo! I got some fresh pix of it all, too.
I’m sure everyone has their own story of how it went (feel free to share below in the comments section). After arriving at our second location every one found a nice spot under some trees and hung out.
It was cool to see how every one parked – it was quite artistic if you asked me. Leave it to this group to make parking an art form. We also picked up a fan as we were driving. The owner of a wild Ariel atom drove with us to the park. In this group of super car guys the Atom was definitely a rock star.
All and all it was a fun event. The stifling heat was a drag, but hey, its better than rain, right guys?Next month lets make it even better! Any and all suggestions welcome!
I just wanna say thanks again to Peter for promoting such a fun event and putting all of us together. Also a big thanks to FMFL for hosting this event. Can’t wait for the next one!

Great write up Jesse and awesome photos! I’m glad we were able to get such a great turnout. I’m working on all of my photos now. I snapped over 350!!
Cool thanks man!
Yeah I was jibber jabbering to much, didn’t get to take a lot of shots. But I Know you got a bunch!
Can’t wait for the next big event.
