One late night heading south on I95 my copilot j2 and I saw something off in the distance. Hmm, what was it? A space ship? A rouge bumper car loose on the highway? Maybe it’s the future and it’s passing me by? Either way I think I recognize that car behind so its time to get over there and take a look!
We cut through about four lanes of traffic and find…? A super sexy Audi R8! Just cruising down the highway. Not crazy 125 mph stuff. Just driving. So, we had to get a shot or two. I’ve seen a few R8’s on the road and they are always sexy, but there is something about a car at night that brings a new level of glamour to their look.
The way the look with the streetlights overhead. The reflection of the buildings on the side of the road with their neon. The way the headlights and break lights of the other cars on the road add to the ever-familiar yet ever changing night color pallete.
Oh, and the canvases. The R8 may not be the fastest super car, or the most expensive, but my oh my is it beautiful. The melding of its passion filled Italian Lamborghini heritage to the purposeful, yet elegant Bauhaus German styling have created a magnificent automotive sight.
In the dark no less.
As photography goes- shooting at night is difficult standing still, but at 70 55 miles an hour it’s even more difficult. With out the help of a gyro-stabilized night shooting high def camera we were only able to capture these images. But j2 she was on it! I think these pix rock.
