It’s Christmas time, and right now I’m back home with my parents for Christmas break in Sarasota, FL, which is almost as good as Miami when it comes to the cars. I was on my way to the bank to deposit some birthday money (cha-ching!) and I cut through the parking lot of a Sports Authority to get to the bank. I glanced over to my right and see an unmistakable Prancing Horse attached nicely to the shiny grill of one classy car. Now when it comes to Italian supercars, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who is more passionate about them than me. As soon as I noticed the big, black, elegant lines of this car, I said “Oh man, a 612!” Of course, I was referring to the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti.
Whenever I see a Ferrari I get all kinds of excited. This time was no different. My mission was simple: Drive through the parking lot, pull right behind it, snap a photo, and tell my friends. Boy was I stopped dead in my tracks. Coming out of the Sports Authority front door was a smokin’ hot brunette with quite a few bags in her hand. Naturally, my eyes left the Ferrari, even if for only a second, and focused on the artwork walking in front of my car. As soon as she passed by I pulled down the aisle where the 612 was parked. What happened next made my heart race. This girl walks right up to the Ferrari and I hear a “beep beep” and the parking lights flashed twice. No way… is that hers!? You bet it is!
She opened up the passenger door, dropped the bags in the seat, walked around to the driver’s side, and got in. My mouth dropped. It’s not that often that you see women driving sports cars, but come on, this girl was rockin’ a Ferrari! How hot is that? After I picked my jaw up from my lap, I pulled out my brand new iPhone 3Gs. As soon as I went to snap the picture she fired up all 12 cylinders. We’re talking 540 horsepower
of hand built Italian brilliance which was music to my ears. I must have looked dumbfounded during this whole event. It was awesome. It only took about two minutes for my daily drive to get that much sweeter. I say we raise a glass to all the women out there who challenge their cars to a beauty contest.
